Germany is looking forward to a second summer fairytale. After the 2006 Football World Cup, the European Football Championship is coming up in June. The kick-off will be on June 14, 2024 in Munich with the match Germany vs. Scotland. 24 nations will play for the title of best team in Europe until the grand final on July 14 in Berlin.
But 2024 will not only be played in ten stadiums, but also in thousands of children's rooms. With 7.5 cm tall PLAYMOBIL DFB stars figures, fans young and old can get a head start on the European Championships. From May 13 to June 22, a total of 18 different PLAYMOBIL DFB stars in miniature format will be available exclusively at EDEKA - 16 as part of the individual figure collection and two additional figures in the “Goal Kicking Set”.
“It's never happened before that a national team has been launched on the market as Playmobil figures,” emphasizes Playmobil CEO, Bahri Kurter. “Until now, there have been many individual special figures - from historical figures to celebrities. With the German national players, we are now offering unique collectible figures for the highlight of the year in Germany - the home European Championships.”
With the DFB stars figures, the Zirndorf-based toy manufacturer is presenting what is probably the biggest line-up of a German national soccer team of all time.
The unique campaign in the EDEKA network is made possible by the children's media specialist Blue Ocean Entertainment. With their 7.5 centimeters and friendly smiles, the PLAYMOBIL DFB stars will not only find a place in children's rooms.
